From an internal width of 9.5", the rim is manufactured using the flow forming process.
What does flow forming mean?
During flow forming, the rim base of the cast blank is rolled out under the influence of heat in an additional production step. Rolling out compresses the material, giving it greater strength and stability. This means that smaller wall thicknesses can be achieved in the rim base, which of course also has a positive effect on the weight of the wheel.
The rim is only delivered with proof of strength. Registration by individual acceptance is therefore required.
